Artist Statement

 

In my work, I engage with themes of memory, mortality, and the meanings attributed to material possessions. Material objects accompany individuals throughout their lives, serving as reservoirs of memories and channels for passing these memories across generations. These artifacts provide a tangible link to the past and play a role in shaping personal identity. My interest lies in examining the impact these objects have on individuals in different contexts, as well as the process by which an ordinary item becomes a cherished symbol or artifact.

My artistic practice focuses on exploring the fragility of human existence, the ephemeral nature of memory, and the human pursuit of continuity and remembrance beyond life. I work primarily with digital and instant photography, with instant photography offering a unique way to capture significant moments and transform them into lasting physical artifacts.
